In the heart of

our coastal village

There are few finer places to

than our coastal Maine village.

There are few finer places to de-stress from our busy lives than our coastal Maine village. People have been coming here to live since the 1600's and to visit from the 1800's.  Our 1860's building was built for a successful milliner who wanted a shop with living space above.

Located in the heart of the village on the corner of a side street we offer privacy with views of the village parades and the harbor activity from private decks (one per apartment) and a first floor main porch.  Summer band stand concerts up the street, the clang of ships bells are the soft music in the air occasionally punctuated with fireworks in the harbor.

Easy private parking allows you to retire from the bustle and walk to everything you need.

Our bright and large apartments on floors 2 and 3 have everything you need for your vacation including 100% cotton linens, firm mattresses, full kitchens and baths.  Downstairs our reception room ("The Boardroom" booked separately) offers space for a reception or meeting with Video Conference for 8 sitting at a table or cocktails for 35 in a grand salon.   The building is fitted out in a mix of Victorian, Mid Century Modern, and Contemporary ideas, proving that style is eternal.  Out hidden technology proves they can work for you wherever you want to be.

After our 2 week stay, it was hard to say goodbye to our 2nd floor apartment at 29 McKown. Tom was welcoming, as was Ruthie, his 4-legged side-kick. The apartment is spacious & well appointed. The best feature is the front deck overlooking the harbor & the quaint town. We ate breakfast & most dinners out there, sipped wine & did some excellent people watching. Location, location, location! We walked & walked and after our days out and about, our apartment was wonderful to come home to. We were comfortable from the moment we arrived and look forward to our return.

My husband and I enjoyed our week-long vacation in this beautiful location. The location just up the hill from the harbor was private enough but close enough to everything in town. Tom was an excellent host and suggested activities and restaurants based on our interests - and the changing weather! The rental was very comfortable and we especially enjoyed our private balcony - both for morning coffee as well as wine in the evening! It was worth staying here and was a great location to explore the entire Maine coast in easy day trips!

We have just returned from our trip to Boothbay Harbour, our fourth year. Our stay at 29Mckown Street has always been much anticipated. The location is the best, and Tom and sidekick “Ruthie”, are always there to greet and advised on things to do. we can’t imagine staying any where else. thanks again, Tom, see ya next year.

Would recommend for any couple to stay and enjoy Boothbay Harbor area. Less than two blocks walk to the boats to go out in the harbor whale watch, seals, lighthouses hauling up Lobster cages. The botanical gardens the aquarium Lobster Co-op lobster for $7 a pound can't beat it. The Farmers Market on Thursday just outside of Boothbay within a couple miles farmers market, it's very nice fresh produce, sausage, cheese, homemade breads I would like to go back for that. Can't list everything you have to go and check it out yourself two thumbs up.
